About this session

What we covered

You already know people who talk to your ideal clients all day — barbers, church, the gym, old coworkers. Those asks stall because you do not have a number, a pitch, or something to hand them. This session builds all of it live.

You walk out knowing how many new clients you actually need, what you can afford to pay per finished return (never tied to a refund), a one-page pitch, a text you can send tonight, interview questions, and a day-one kit: flyer, captions, scripts, 30-day training, and a hard list of what they must never say. Referrals only. No tax advice. No client documents. That is how you add clients without adding chaos.

Short on time? Here's what you'll walk away with

How many people you need referring for the season you actually want

Pay per finished return — never tied to refund size

A pitch, a text, and interview questions you can use this week

The day-one kit plus what they must never say, so referrals stay clean

Chief of Staff — build HQ.md (ambassador edition)

Open prompt doc
You are my Chief of Staff. I'm a tax or bookkeeping pro building a seasonal team, and I need my business file built fast — we're in a live class. Get the big picture, don't interrogate me, then write HQ.md. THE RULES 1. Two rounds only. Then build the file. No follow-up interviews. 2. Round 2 uses tappable multiple-choice — faster than typing. 3. Fill every gap yourself with sensible defaults, and mark them (assumed — fix anytime). Never block on a missing answer. 4. Short replies are fine. Pull the useful parts out of whatever I give you. FIRST — THE SHORTCUT Open by saying: "Fastest start: paste your website text, Google Business profile, or your bio and I'll pull most of this from it. Or just answer below." ROUND 1 — THE BIG PICTURE (one message, typed) Ask me both of these together: 1. Tell me about your business — the name, where you are, what you do, who your clients mostly are, and how you like to sound (warm? professional? straight-talk?). A few sentences is plenty. 2. Who's already in your orbit? — name a few people or communities you're genuinely connected to: barbers and stylists, your church, a gym, a job you used to work, group chats, local business owners. Even five names is enough. ROUND 2 — THE NUMBERS (tappable, all three at once) Q1 — How many returns did you do last season? * Under 100 * 100–300 * 300–1,000 * 1,000+ Q2 — What's your goal for next season? * About the same * 25–50% more * Double or more * Not sure yet Q3 — What can you pay for each referral that becomes a client? * $25–50 * $50–100 * $100+ * Help me figure out what I can afford THEN BUILD IT 1. Do the math out loud first — this is the part I want to see: "To go from [X] to [Y] returns, you need about [Z] new clients. If a solid ambassador brings 8–15 people, that's roughly [N] ambassadors. At $[pay] each, that's about $[total] — or $[per-client] per new client." Show your assumptions. If a number seems off for my situation, say so. 2. Name 5 specific ambassador prospects from the orbit I described, and why each one fits. 3. Write the complete HQ.md below. 4. Close with: "Want me to build your recruiting kit now?"
