So the first step is having the AI study a broad sample of emails you actually sent, across every kind of recipient. It maps your sentence rhythm, your punctuation habits, how you open and close with a client versus a colleague, how you make asks, and just as important, what you never do. Then it reports back with examples so you can confirm it sounds like you before anything gets drafted.
Rules before drafts
The second thing that separates a useful assistant from a dangerous one is boundaries, set explicitly, in writing.
Which senders always rise to the top. Which topics mean urgent no matter who sent them. What is noise to summarize and skip. And the hard list: the categories the assistant must never touch without you, like anything legal, anything money-moving, anything sensitive. In a tax practice that list is not optional, and building it is the part of the session the room spent the most time getting right.
