The return at a glance

A single filer in Michigan with three W-2 jobs, a small 1099-NEC side gig with no expenses, and unemployment. The intake form was deliberately messy, to show what Wizzy does when the data doesn't line up. The same client is then run again through JotForm.

Run it yourself with Wizzy

  1. 1

    Give Wizzy a structured intake.

JotForm, Cognito and GoHighLevel forms are structured already. If clients fill out paper in person, keep each page's answers on that page. The name on this client's license didn't match the organizer, and that one mismatch caused a problem later.

  2. 2

Upload everything for the client at once.

Download the client's full folder, open Add a Client and drop it in. Zipped or unzipped, one big file or many, Wizzy sorts it. JotForm users pick the client from the Add a Client dropdown instead.

  3. 3

    Check "What will be exported".

Before you run, confirm the form count matches what you uploaded. Wizzy lists what it won't export, like the 1095-B and 1095-C here. The list depends on the tax software set in your Wizzy.

  4. 4

Clean up the profile before you export.

Wizzy built a spouse from the mismatched name; delete it. Green documents mean Wizzy is confident, orange or red mean check the image. Skip the home office for a 1099-NEC with no expenses, add direct deposit, and clear the matching due diligence flag.

  5. 5

    One-click into Drake Tax Online.

Have the tax software open on the right screen, unlock the return and press One-Click Return. While it runs, work in a new window, not a new tab in the window Wizzy is using.

  6. 6

    QA, then leave feedback.

Check the taxpayer info, each W-2 box and the 1099-NEC. Cents round the way you'd expect: under 50 rounds down. Then rate the return in Wizzy and say what it missed. That feedback is how Wizzy gets better.
